A note comparing receiving fees on 20,000 USD for Payoneer, WorldFirst and Rivet, beside US, UK and EU flags.

A company outside the US receiving 20,000 USD a month into Payoneer pays 200 USD on arrival, because USD is not its local currency and the receiving fee is 1%. Converting to its home currency adds 0.50%, or 1.2% to 4% if it withdraws with conversion. Over a year, the receiving fee alone is 2,400 USD.

Figures are from each provider's pricing page, read in November 2026. Payoneer says its fees vary by location, payment method and corridor.

What switching looks like

Give clients your new account details on your next invoice, keep Payoneer open for any platform that only pays Payoneer, and move the balance once payments arrive in the new account. Our guide to switching business accounts has a checklist, and Payoneer vs Rivet has a worked monthly comparison.

Rivet is not a bank; regulated partner institutions hold client funds. See pricing.

Questions people ask

What is the best alternative to Payoneer?

It depends on where your money comes from. Marketplace sellers usually compare WorldFirst. Companies converting now and then compare Wise Business. Teams with cards and bills compare Airwallex. Companies paid by business clients that also use stablecoins compare Rivet.

Which Payoneer alternative has no receiving fee?

WorldFirst, Wise (for domestic payments in nine currencies), Airwallex and Rivet do not charge a percentage to receive local bank payments. Wise charges a fixed fee for USD wires and SWIFT.

Should I close my Payoneer account?

Not necessarily. If a platform only pays Payoneer accounts, keep it for that income and receive client payments elsewhere.
