WorldFirst alternatives for businesses: what to use if WorldFirst does not fit

WorldFirst is free to open and cheap to convert, which is why so many marketplace sellers use it. It is a weaker fit for US businesses, service companies paid by wire, and anyone who needs stablecoins.

WorldFirst's UK price list is short. The World Account is free to open, with no subscription. Receiving from marketplaces is free. Conversion is "up to 0.50%" for major currencies, with an introductory 0.30% for six months. A USD payment to the US costs £0.77, and a SEPA payment £0.27.

That is a strong offer, and for an Amazon or Shopify seller paying suppliers in China it is hard to beat. Companies look elsewhere for three reasons.

They are in the US. WorldFirst's site lists the United States as served by an affiliate.

They are paid by wire, by business clients. WorldFirst's tools centre on marketplace payouts and supplier payments. An agency or SaaS company invoicing clients wants account details in its own name and approvals on outgoing money.

They use stablecoins. WorldFirst does not offer USDC or USDT.

Prices are from each provider's page, read in November 2026.

How to choose

If most of your money comes from marketplaces and goes to Chinese suppliers, stay with WorldFirst or compare it against Payoneer's fees.

If you need cards and spend controls, look at Airwallex and Revolut.

If clients pay you by ACH or wire and you pay contractors in many countries, Rivet gives US account details in your company's name on the free Starter plan, unlimited virtual cards, and payouts to 120+ countries. Growth adds EUR and GBP details, physical cards and approvals for up to 10 team members.

The honest trade-off

WorldFirst's 0.50% standard rate is lower than Rivet's Starter rate of from 0.80%. On Growth, Rivet matches it at from 0.50%, and Scale goes from 0.30%. If you convert large amounts and need nothing else, WorldFirst may cost less. If you would otherwise run a second account for stablecoins or US banking, one account usually costs less in time and fees. Rivet is not a bank; regulated partner institutions hold client funds. WorldFirst vs Payoneer for sellers and service companies
