Payset publishes a long fee schedule. Added up for a typical company, the first year costs several thousand euros before FX. Here is the arithmetic, line by line.

A note adding up Payset's application fee and subscription for a first year, beside UK and EU flags.

A UK company opening Payset's Business plan pays €480 to apply and €300 for three months upfront, then €100 a month. Over the first year that is €1,680 in fixed costs. A company registered outside the EU and UK pays €960 to apply, so €2,160. A complex ownership structure adds another €480.

That is before a single payment. All figures are from Payset's pricing page, read in November 2026; Payset calls them starting points, confirmed in your proposal.

A worked year

A company receiving 10 SWIFT payments a month, sending 20 SEPA payments of €2,000 and converting €30,000 a month on Business pays: €100 in receiving fees, €160 in SEPA fees and about €300 in FX each month. That is €560 a month on top of the €100 plan, or about €6,700 in transaction costs over the year plus €1,680 in fixed costs.

Admin fees worth knowing

Payset charges €100 to amend company details, €50 for a SWIFT confirmation, €20 to cancel a payment before it is sent and €150 plus pass-through after, €50 for a returned payment, and €400 for an auditor request. Information requests not answered within 30 days cost €100 each.

How it compares

For the same activity on Rivet Growth ($200 a month), there is no fee to receive by bank transfer, FX starts at 0.50% and each payout costs $1. There is no application fee and no closure fee. For a company with lower volumes, Rivet Starter is free and includes USD details and USDC and USDT. Payset's caps help on very large single payments, so a holding company moving six-figure sums may still prefer it. See Payset alternatives and Payset vs Wise. Rivet is not a bank; regulated partner institutions hold client funds.
