What is a USD bank account for a business?
A USD business account gives a company US details: a routing number and an account number in its own name. With Rivet, US clients pay by ACH or wire as they would pay any American supplier, and the dollars land in a USD balance. It is on every plan, including the free Starter plan, after verification.
What each line does
Account name
Your registered company name. It is the name the payer sees.
Routing number
Nine digits that identify the US bank. ACH and wires can use different ones, so copy each from your dashboard.
Account number
Yours alone. It goes on your invoice next to the routing number.
How clients pay you
To a US client this is an ordinary domestic payment, so there is no international wire to set up.
- ACHOne to three banking daysRegular invoices and retainers
- Same-day ACHThe same banking day, before the cut-offWhen the client’s bank offers it
- US wireThe same day on business daysLarge or urgent payments
Who it suits
Bill in dollars and hand the client details they already know how to pay. They skip an international wire, and you skip the fees taken along the way.
Keep client income in USD and spend it in USD, so nothing converts in the middle.
The account belongs to the company, so its owners do not have to live in the US.

Rivet is a financial technology platform, not a bank. Regulated partner institutions hold and move the funds, and to the person paying you the details work like any others.
You apply in about 15 minutes. We verify the company before the account opens, and the verdict comes within 3 business days.
