# WorldFirst fees explained: World Account, transfers, FX and card

Every WorldFirst UK business fee in one place: account, payment, FX, card and ATM fees, with worked examples and how they compare.

## Key takeaways

- WorldFirst's World Account has no setup fee, no subscription and no maintenance fee. Collection accounts in 20+ currencies and marketplace payouts are free to receive.
- FX is up to 0.50% for major currencies, with 0.30% for a new customer's first six months.
- Payment fees are fixed: £0.77 for USD to the US, £0.27 for SEPA, £0.31 for UK payments, £11.55 for USD to mainland China within four business hours, and £4.62 to £23.00 elsewhere.
- The World Card is free, with 25 virtual and 5 physical cards (£5 shipping each), no FX fee in 15 currencies and 2% on ATM withdrawals.

WorldFirst's UK fee page fits on one screen. The account costs nothing to open or keep. Sending USD to a US account costs £0.77. A SEPA payment costs £0.27. The fee most companies actually feel is the FX margin: up to 0.50% on major currencies.

All figures are from WorldFirst's UK business pricing page, read in November 2026. WorldFirst UK is authorised by the FCA as an electronic money institution, reference 900508.

## FX and card

Conversion is up to 0.50% on major currencies, or 0.30% for six months for new customers. The World Card is free with up to 1.2% cashback, 25 virtual and 5 physical cards (£5 shipping each), no FX fee in 15 currencies and 2% on ATM withdrawals, minimum £1.

## Worked example

A seller converts 50,000 USD of marketplace income to GBP and pays 10 suppliers in China. FX at 0.50% is 250 USD, and supplier payments cost £115.50. With no subscription, that is the month's total.

## When the costs move elsewhere

WorldFirst is cheap for its core use. The costs appear when you need what it does not offer: a US-based company, stablecoins, or a business account for service income with approvals. Rivet's Growth plan converts from 0.50%, the same as WorldFirst's standard rate, and adds USDC and USDT, USD, EUR and GBP details in your company's name, and roles and approvals, for $200 a month. Compare with [WorldFirst vs Wise](/blog/worldfirst-vs-wise) or [WorldFirst alternatives](/blog/worldfirst-alternatives). Rivet is not a bank; regulated partner institutions hold client funds.
